Yamantaka // Sonic Titan, o coletivo artístico do Canadá que passou pela edição do NOS Primavera Sound em 2014 regressa este ano aos discos com Dirt, o seu terceiro disco de estúdio que vem dar sucessão a UZU (2013). Como primeiro avanço do novo disco o coletivo avançou com a faixa “Someplace” que viajar entre a dream-pop de Mazzy Star, logo de início, conduzindo ao prog-rock e doom metal, num estilo que descrevem como Noh-wave. Um malhão para consumir até ao fim.
Segundo a banda ” ‘Someplace’ is about being in a situation that is familiar but isn’t really serving you or giving you purpose. Dynamically, I think we tried to create the sense of trepidation when embarking on a new venture. Wanting to move on, to blast past your old concerns and go on. You’d rather be someplace new and potentially dangerous than accept the slow decay of the situation you’re already in.
