Superalma Project - The Millennial Obsession With Starting Over (video) [Threshold Premiere]

A few months after releasing the Universal Observer Device EP (2020), Superalma Project is back with a new full-length titled The Endeavour To Understand that will hit the shelves at the end of the current month. The new album comprises thirteen new singles highly worked around experimental electronics and today the Brazilian producer is showing us the first advance from it, “The Millennial Obsession With Starting Over”. In a path totally opposed to what Superalma Project has shown us alongside the years, with this new track he includes some influences from the breakcore and baroque scene where he can easily find some traces of what producers like Igorrr or Ruby My Dear have been doing. All of this within an incredible fast adrenalin injection ready to be taken down below.

According to the press release, this new album “sounds like some sci-fi amalgam of post-internet Dracula sounds, 90’s Asian movie soundtracks, digital soundscapes, and dreamy glitch, but it’s also a very personal journey“. That mentioned journey reflects the feelings of hardness lived by Igor Almeida as a Brazilian citizen living in Portugal and his consequent attempt in finding an identity outside of the homeland, starting all over. The Millennial Obsession With Starting Over” is the first cut to present those disturbing emotions and is now being premiered along with a music video that portrays a strong social and political message behind: “peace among us // war to the tyrants”. The full video can now be watched below.

The Endeavour To Understand is set to release on November 26th via Glamour Label in digital + card usb flash drive + A3 poster. You can pre-order the album here.
