After Deadpan Interference‘s split-up back in 2016, Martin Funder, Max Cosnier and Sofie Westh decided that the development of their music wasn’t yet dead and started to compose new songs during 2017 and 2018. These songs are now ready to be revealed through their debut EP Fool Moon, due to be released on December under the moniker Deadpan. Until then you can get a taste of it by clicking on the video below for the first theme, the title-track “Fool Moon”, that is being premiered today.
Through a heavy and experimental approach to songwriting and rhythm, in this new “Fool Moon” single Deadpan sound like the love child of the 70/80s experimental post-punk band Chrome and 00s dance-punk heroes LCD Soundsystem; wrapped in the modernity of contemporaries like The Garden. The video for “Fool Moon” was directed by Frederik Valentin and can be watched below in exclusive.
